Rewards:
At Ashmole we recognise praise and rewards across ability, gender and culture.
In Year’s 7, 8 and 9 students are awarded Merits. Merits awarded are recorded in the merit pages in the student planners. In Years 10 -13 students are awarded postcards which are recorded at school and then posted home.
Students may achieve merits and postcards in a variety of ways. A suggestion of these is listed below:
- exceptional piece of work: class or home
- consistent excellence in class/homework
- consistent marked improvement in work/behaviour over time
- qualities of character worthy of note
- service to community
- service to school
- participation in school activities.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Positive contribution to their form, year or school ethos
When a student achieves the following they are awarded a certificate:

Bronze certificates are issued by form tutors during tutorial period.
Silver certificates are issued by Key Stage Mangers in Assembly.
Gold certificates are issued by the Assistant Head attached to the Year group in assembly.
Platinum certificates are issued by the Head Teacher in Assembly.
