Oracy
We want all of our students to be confident speakers and we develop this skill in all lessons across the curriculum. Our oracy framework provides guidance for the best way to present ideas with clarity and precision.Lessons regularly use oracy before writing to support students in developing their ideas. Paired, group and whole-class oracy activities are pre-planned and part of our entire curriculum.
Through practise, our students develop into confident speakers and this helps to develop writing skills as a result.
In addition, we have a debate club and take part in annual debating competitions with local schools and nationally. |
