Ashmole Ski Trip 2020
If you follow the Ashmole Twitter feed, you may have seen that 38 students and 5 staff spent February half-term in Vermont, learning to ski or improving their skills. It was a fantastic trip with almost all of them wanting to go again in 2021. Killington was a wonderful resort with plenty of trails to ski, and in the evenings the students went bowling or to the cinema in downtown Rutland. There was some outstanding progress made, as the videos on Twitter show, because the level of tuition offered by the highly experienced Killington staff was second to none. After 5 days of skiing, students visited an outlet centre in New Hampshire, and then followed Mr Gilfeather's guided "Freedom Trail" in Boston, with a small group making it up to the top of Bunker Hill monument. The only regret is we did not see the USS Constitution...maybe next year?
