Ashmole Trust was formed in 2015 building upon the success of Ashmole Academy and its tradition of outstanding school performance. The Trust currently consists of a primary and secondary school and has future expansion plans.  

Ashmole Academy is a forward-looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.   The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.   We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600.  Our examination results are consistently high, and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.


Pastoral Mentor

36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

Pay point 26-29   Actual Salary £28,226 - £30,688pa

Required as soon as possible, a Pastoral Mentor whose duties include facilitating the exceptional progress and supporting the well-being of any individual or group of students; providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and to support individual students through a mentoring programme.  The post will also require excellent communication with staff, professionals and parents to support student engagement, progress and attendance.  The role also includes minimal cover supervision in addition to some clerical and administrative tasks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dedicated team of pastoral mentors. You will be working with the Head of Year to support student overcome challenges. This post also requires supporting students in the Ashmole Learning Hub as well as general cover supervision.

HLTA/Cover Supervisor - Languages

Full time 36 hours per week, term time plus 2 days

pay point 26-29 – actual salary

At Ashmole Academy, Languages are an integral part of our curriculum and are highly valued by our school community. We aim to equip students with the skills and cultural capital that they need to succeed in life, encouraging pupils to appreciate and celebrate difference as well as providing a framework for further language learning. Under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also provide learning support and assistance to pupils in the classroom and may also work with small groups of pupils and on a one-to-one basis. The role of HLTA is an excellent opportunity to inspire and motivate young people throughout their secondary education.

The successful candidate may have a French or Spanish related degree; will have a passion to inspire and maintain high quality teaching and learning and have a flexible approach to their job role. This may be suitable for candidates who are considering a career in teaching and the School Direct Programme.

Ashmole Academy is looking to appoint a HLTA/Cover Supervisor for our Languages department who will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff.
